Metedeconk National Golf Club No. 3
Metedeconk National Golf Club is 27 holes of golf carved out of the pines in central New Jersey, and an all-world practice facility. he course is one of the final designs – maybe the last – completed by the great Robert Trent Jones Sr and the terrain and flora have a definite resemblance to another NJ club further south. The club logo was one of our first great success stories in branding golf clubs. The design was inspired by a myth of the Lenni Lenape people who named the Metedeconk River, and it has been thoughtfully implemented throughout the club to great effect. I also had the good fortune to paint the beautiful golf course a few times – this watercolor of No. 3 is one of my all time favorites.
