For his fourth poster for the Ryder Cup, Lee took his inspiration from the beautiful features of Marco Simone as well as the venue’s location in the classical city of Rome. The artwork features the championship course set against the backdrop of Marco Simone’s historic castle, built in 1000 AD, which is flanked by the Colosseum and the Forum, two iconic Roman landmarks from the ancient days of the Roman Empire. The castle was restored in the 1970s by a famous Italian fashion designer.
